Little Shop of Horrors (Warner Bros., 1986), Revised Screenplay Draft and Storyboard Pages. Original revised draft dated January 15, 1984 of the Frank Oz-directed musical version of Little Shop of Horrors (1986). Based on the hit off-Broadway musical (itself based on the 1960 Roger Corman quickie), the film was released to wide critical acclaim and respectable box-office. Early audience previews indicated disappointment in the stage play's original downbeat ending, which was reshot with a more optimistic coda. This draft of the script reflects the original excised ending (which was updated and printed on pink pages on 4/3/85). These pages reveal an intriguing reprise of "Mean Green Mother from Outer Space" and killer plant Audrey Two's takeover of the entire U.S. - with the accompanying song "Don't Feed the Plants." Also included in this lot are 40 pages photocopied storyboard art for the entire sequence of "Mean Green Mother from Outer Space." This is an incredible lot for fans of the 1986 film - and its storied postproduction. The 107-page screenplay and storyboard exhibit moderate wear with some creasing and tearing on the cover pages.
