Description

The Rolling Stones Westfalenhalle Dortmund, Germany Concert Poster (1967). Vintage original concert poster advertising the Rolling Stones' headline appearance at Dortmund's Westfalenhalle on March 31, 1967, as part of their European tour for the release of their fifth studio album "Between the Buttons". Measuring 33" x 23", the thin-paper poster printed with red background promoting the Stones as "the toughest band in the world", with support from Easy Beats, The Batman, The Creation, and Achim Reichel. The Stones' reputation as the toughest band in the world was not unfounded, with their European tour a year earlier mired in controversy with concerts ending in seriously unruly crowds or outright rioting. Folded, exhibits trimming and pinholes to the four corners, visible handling wear including some splitting along the fold lines from the edges. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
