Fred Roos Collection of Materials Relating to Zoetrope and Francis Ford Coppola (ca. 1960s-2000s). Collection of documents relating to Fred Roos and Zoetrope Studios including (2) press release folders for Zoetrope Studios containing information regarding projects in development and company staff, (1) group of handwritten and typed documents detailing updates on scripts in development from the 1980s, (1) group of miscellaneous correspondence with the likes of Roddy McDowall and Mario Puzo, (1) group of advertisements for the sale of Zoetrope Studios from the 1980s and '90s during ongoing financial troubles, (1) group of press release documents on the groundbreaking "Electronic Cinema" technology utilized for One From the Heart (Columbia, 1982), and (1) alphabetized story department submissions list with handwritten notes housed in a black binder measuring 10" x 7.25" x 1.5", (1) 156-page (as paginated) first draft for The Disenchanted, an unmade project written by Coppola, bradded and dated June 3, 1966, with title on sticky notes to studio cover and spine, and (1) group of original cast lists for Distant Vision, a 52-minute "Live Cinema" experience that was only ever played at the UCLA campus and involved the students and faculty in a month's long workshop.
