Invasion of the Body Snatchers (UA, 1978), Donald Sutherland "Pod Matthew Bennell" Head Casting from Original Molds. Hyper-realistic and lifelike head casting of Matthew Bennell (Donald Sutherland) in his "pod person" form, constructed of slip cast latex with netted curly blonde locks, applied brown mustache and eyebrows, and glued down fibrous threads to complete the look of the character as it appears emerging from its embryonic sack. Latex is professionally painted and detailed to portray Sutherland's immediately recognizable facial characteristics, and was produced using original molds from the film. Display measures 10" x 14" x 11" and is mounted to a black-painted wooden display measuring 7.25" x 7.5" x .5". Latex is in wonderful condition exhibiting mild expected age and wear, including some flaking to the paint and latex, with features and details overall presenting vividly. Base exhibits some scuffs and paint loss. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
