Dracula and Son (Gaumont, 1976), Pair of Costume Sketches by Jacques Fonteray. Original pair of (2) costume sketches by costume designer Jacques Fonteray, accomplished in charcoal and oil pastels on 12.5" x 19" light brown artist's leaf with 10" x 16" visible through a 15.75" x 21.5" paper mat, including (1) illustration of Dracula (Christopher Lee) in 18th century garb with a waistcoat, breeches, ruffle cravat, and neck brooch, and (1) illustration of his son, Ferdinand, in a white pleated collar shirt, white breeches, and wide blue waist belt. The Ferdinand illustration includes "'Dracula Father + Son' Son Costume Sketch" handwritten in pencil on the verso in the upper right corner. The French comedy-horror film starred Christopher Lee in his last performance as Count Dracula. Items exhibit production wear and age, including handling wear, creasing, and toning. The Ferdinand illustration has a 1" tear in the top right center of the illustration.
