Extraordinary Marilyn Monroe Signed and Inscribed Photograph (ca. 1952). Vintage original signed and inscribed buff matte double-weight 8" x 10" photograph featuring Marilyn Monroe playfully posing against a cargo net. Boldly penned in blue ink, the inscription reads, "To Pete- When your [sic] down my way- look me up Marilyn Monroe (CRestview 62251)", a Beverly Hills phone number from the 1950s. In the summer of 1952, the inscribee, Peter Hitt, was visiting his two aunts who worked in the wardrobe department on the Twentieth Century Fox Studios lot where he obtained this photograph.
