(1973) Frank Sinatra came out of retirement in 1973 to record an album; Ol' Blue Eyes is Back and perform in a TV special of the same title. The year marked a resurgence in Sinatra's career that would continue for the rest of his life. Sinatra wore this shirt during rehearsals for that show. Consisting of a custom-made cotton, long sleeve, pocket less pink button-down dress shirt with flared collar and gathers where the sleeves meet the shoulders and at cuffs. With mother of pearl buttons on front closure and sleeves. Internal maker's label "Nat Wise" and "Frank Sinatra, 1971" present. Inside collar is stamped "FS -W Cast". Sinatra can be seen wearing this shirt in candid rehearsal images for his TV special as he hugs and laughs with his Anchors Aweigh (1945) co-star and fellow icon Gene Kelly during their song-and-dance rehearsals. In vintage, stage-worn condition. Accompanied by a LOA from his personal costumer and longtime friend, Michael Costellano.
