Description

Cream (Eric Clapton) 1967 Copenhagen, Denmark Psychedelic Concert Poster. An original large B&W psychedelic concert poster for supergroup Cream playing at the Falconer Salen in Copenhagen, Denmark on Sunday night, November 12 (poster says "12 No"), 1967. "SBA Presents," it states in the circle, which was the Scandinavian Booking Agency. Features really fun, symmetrical artwork of a pretty woman on top with two bodies coming down either side of the sphere. "LOVE" is in the circle just to the right of her head. This first-ever Heritage offering measures 20 3/8" x 28 3/8" and grades to Very Good Plus condition. COA from Heritage Auctions.

More Information: Cream's new album, Disraeli Gears, featuring the world-beating hit single "Sunshine of Your Love," had just been released about a week prior to this concert.

Poster was designed by Vibeke Vestergard, whose credit is on the artwork's bottom right margin.

Condition details: The poster itself is very clean, with just a couple of flaws: a 3/8" edge tear on the top edge, directly from the main ‘bubble' in the upper left corner area; and a very light 1 ½" horizontal crease coming in from the poster's left edge, about halfway down the poster, all in the white. There is also very light general toning throughout. On the verso, ½" of brown paper tape has been used to line the poster all the way around.
