Christopher Plummer "Captain Von Trapp" boatswain whistle from The Sound of Music. (TCF, 1965) Vintage original 5.25 x .75 in. brass plated boatswain whistle. Highly visible in the film used by the disciplinarian "Captain Von Trapp" (Plummer) to keep his children in line. First heard summoning the children's thrilling entrance, when they scramble out on the balcony, before marching downstairs and used as a instrument of command until the Captains heart is melted by the serene harmonies of his children singing, "The Sound of Music," after which, the whistle no longer appears. Exhibiting production use, wear, handling and age, patina, rubbing and remnants of removable paper with adhesive residue from previous display. In vintage good to very goo condition.
