The Man from U.N.C.L.E. hero Nightscope Rifle also used by Charlton Heston in The Omega Man. (MGM, 1964-68/Warner Bros., 1971) Original M3 Carbine fitted with Infrared (IR) sniperscope. This .30 caliber rifle was used by an assassin in The Man from U.N.C.L.E. Season 1 episode "The Iowa-Scuba Affair" and served as the basis for the villainous THRUSH agent rifles used later in the series. Of particular note, this M3 IR scope was mounted on a Browning Automatic Rifle used by Charlton Heston as "Neville" against the mutated plague victims in the 1971 science fiction film The Omega Man while the M3 Carbine is clearly sitting on a chair (sans scope) in his apartment. This weapon was also used by Robert Loggia in his 1966 NBC adventure series T.H.E. Cat. Measures 36 in. long. This gun was exhibited at the SPY-FI Exhibit at the Queen Mary, Long Beach, CA (2007).
