Fred Gwynne "Herman Munster" head appliance for The Munsters. (CBS TV, 1964-1966) Worn by Fred Gwynne in unspecified episode of The Munsters series. Constructed of a cast foam latex 1-piece Frankenstein forehead prosthetic. With all the iconic Universal monster hallmarks including pronounced brow, scars and cranial clamps. Prepainted in green-gray and black for application. Inscribed and signed on the interior, in black ink, "To Chris, Fred Gwynne". Rubber exhibits deterioration and surface loss to the outer skin. Edge cracking. Interior remains supple and intact. A rare example and relic from this beloved oddball TV comedy. In vintage good condition.
