Original matte paintings (3) from Presenting Lily Mars. (MGM, 1943) Vintage black and white (3) matte paintings accomplished in pencil, gouache, chalk and charcoal on 28 x 22 in. artist boards. With some photographic elements from Presenting Lily Mars. Featuring nighttime city street scenes and marquees. Paintings exhibit scenic and tech notes in margins and spaces blacked-out for keying in of live-action footage. Meticulous pinholes have been made in the marquees so that when the painting is illuminated from behind they appear as lights. Exhibiting signs of production-use and age. In vintage, good condition.
