The Lord of the Rings pinball machine. The Lord of the Rings pinball machine. The Lord of the Rings is a 2003 pinball game designed by George Gomez and distributed by Stern. The game is based on Peter Jackson's incredibly popular The Lord of the Rings film trilogy. At the time of its release, this machine featured the highest possible score multiplier in pinball: During a combined "Two Towers" and "Gollum" multi-ball, it is possible to achieve 84x Jackpot. It is the first game specifically developed to use an "interim" Whitestar MPU board system with a 16-bit sound system. The pinball playfield offers special features like: Moving balrog with built-in flashlamp that blocks center ramp at times. A tower that "collapses" on certain scoring features. Also features a Mini-playfield that encourages nudging. Approx. 75.5 in. tall x 29 in. wide x 58 in. deep. Approx. 250 lbs. In good working condition. Special shipping arrangements will apply.
