Hoth Rebel Trooper Hat & Goggles from Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back (TCF, 1980). Vintage original Rebel Trooper thermal hat and google from the ice planet Hoth. Hat is constructed of light crème cotton with quilted lower section, khaki trim and Velcro flaps and straps to hold the goggle strap. Included is an original pair of Rebel Trooper goggles crafted of white and blue plastic with green-tinted lens and elastic strap. Hat and goggles exhibit production wear and soiling. Comes with a custom display stand with 5" x 5" x 3" base and acrylic rod holding a black flocked head form (stands 21" with hat & goggles). The goggles are from the collection of makeup and special creature designer Stuart Freeborn and come with a signed LOA stating, "I can confirm that these are original production used HOTH Goggles from The Empire Strikes Back. I was involved with blue screen shots for the Wampa and my son traveled to Norway for the Hoth filming. I was allowed to keep these pieces of my work as a memento of my time working on the original trilogy of Star Wars movies..." The Rebel Trooper hat was obtained from the son of a crew member and an LOA from Prop Store is included with the ensemble. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
