DH-17 Rebel Alliance Blaster Pistol from Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope (TCF, 1977). This non-firing prop blaster is constructed of steel, machined aluminum and acrylic and includes a top-mounted targeting scope. Included is an LOA from established visual effects/model maker Lou Zutavern who states (in part): "[The Rebel Blaster] was acquired by me in approximately 1989. It was originally acquired by Warren Dronet in approximately 1980 from an ILM prop man. This particular gun is more of a background piece although it has many elements of the foreground pieces, including the aluminum detailed barrel and working trigger, as well as some detailing at the rear." Also includes an LOA from renowned Hollywood collector Fuller French. Measures 13". Exhibits age and production wear including paint loss and oxidation to exposed metal. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
