Description
Star Wars Glasslite Kea Moll AFA 60 Loose (Glasslite, 1988). Released exclusively in Brazil by Glasslite as part of the Star Wars Droids line in 1988, Kea Moll is one of the rarest and most distinctive figures from the company's short-lived Star Wars production. Unlike her Kenner counterpart, the Glasslite Kea Moll exhibits several immediately recognizable regional traits: darker green belt, boots, and sleeves; darker brown hair; a paler, less pink complexion on the face, neck, and arms; and pale blue eyes that lend the figure a strikingly different expression. Additional molding and paint variations include a wider leg stance, modified spray masks on the hairline and sleeves, and a noticeably shorter overall height. This example has been graded AFA 60, corresponding to Excellent condition. The paint remains largely intact, with minor edge wear consistent with factory-level imperfections typical of Glasslite production. The figure is paired with the correct black blaster that completes the display. The figure's construction, defined by locally sourced plastics and uneven paint application, exemplifies the idiosyncratic craftsmanship that separates Brazil's adaptation from the Kenner original. Encased in a clear AFA display, this Kea Moll captures the handmade character and rarity that make Glasslite's figures so desirable among Star Wars variant collectors. As one of the few female characters in the Droids line-and a testament to Glasslite's ambitious yet uneven artistry-she stands as a piece of Brazilian Star Wars history that bridges global production with unmistakable individuality.Heritage Auctions provides as much information as possible but strongly encourages in-person inspection.
