Premiering in 1985, the Droids animated series introduced Star Wars to Saturday morning audiences, expanding the saga with fresh characters and adventures set beyond the original trilogy. Kenner complemented the series with a dedicated Droids action figure line, featuring striking packaging art that reflected the show's bold, comic book-inspired aesthetic. Among these figures was Tig Fromm, a young and overconfident crime lord determined to escape his father's shadow. This original line art by Alice Carter, created for Tig Fromm's blister card, presents a striking image of the villain standing against a sci-fi-inspired backdrop, his posture exuding arrogance and ambition. His menacing expression and forward-leaning stance suggest his eagerness to rise in the criminal underworld, while the presence of C-3PO and R2-D2 looming in the background reinforces the ever-present struggle between heroes and villains in the Droids universe.

This original artwork is drawn on art paper measuring approximately 12.875 inches by 12 inches, which has been taped to an illustration board measuring 13.5 inches by 12.875 inches, then further secured to a protective window overlay measuring 14.625 inches by 13.875 inches. Over time, the piece has discolored and exhibits handling wear, including small cuts in the lower right side and around Tig Fromm's feet, along with scuffing, whiteout, and airbrushing along the left side-imperfections that are concealed when the protective window mat is down. Notably, the back upper right corner features a "Studio of Alice Carter" sticker, signed by Alice Carter, further cementing its authenticity and connection to the original production process. As one of the few surviving Droids packaging illustrations, this artwork represents a rare and significant piece of Star Wars toy history. A prized addition to any collection, it preserves the legacy of Kenner's Droids line and the distinctive visual identity that made it a standout in Star Wars merchandising.

Her illustration clients have included Lucasfilm Ltd., Rolling Stone magazine, The New York Times, and ABC Television. Her work has been exhibited nationally at galleries and museums such as the New York Society of Illustrators Museum of American Illustration, The Norman Rockwell Museum, the Art Institute of Houston, the Delaware Museum of Art, and the New Britain Museum.
