Description
Star Wars Peach Boba Fett First Shot Figure AFA 85 ** POP 1 - ONLY Graded Example ** (Kenner, 1982). As the 1980s unfolded, Star Wars had evolved beyond a mere blockbuster franchise into a global powerhouse, shaping pop culture and revolutionizing the toy industry. Kenner's groundbreaking action figure line wasn't just about collecting-it was about stepping into a galaxy of adventure, where fans could recreate legendary battles and forge their own interstellar sagas. But before these figures reached store shelves, they underwent an intricate preproduction process, with first shot prototypes serving as essential tools for refining designs, testing materials, and ensuring production accuracy. Among these rare, behind-the-scenes relics is the Star Wars Peach Boba Fett First Shot figure, a stunning artifact from the 1982 Kenner toy line, offering an exclusive glimpse into the development of one of the most legendary characters in the Star Wars universe. This unpainted first shot prototype provides a unique look into Kenner's development process, where early test figures were molded in unconventional color combinations. This Boba Fett prototype features a black torso, with peach arms, legs, and head-a striking contrast to the final production version. Created strictly for internal evaluation, this version was never meant for retail but instead served as a tool for testing figure construction and production feasibility. First shots like this often lack copyright markings, showcase unusual mold colors, and represent key steps in the creation of some of the most iconic action figures ever produced.
This loose vintage figure bears a Hong Kong (HK) COO stamp, linking it directly to Kenner's manufacturing process. It is encased in a deluxe acrylic display and graded Archival AFA 85 NM+, carefully preserved alongside its AFA Certificate of Authenticity, which has been authenticated by industry expert Tom Derby. This is the only AFA graded example, making it a POP 1 with none graded higher. A rare glimpse into the craftsmanship behind one of Star Wars' most legendary figures, this piece stands as a museum-worthy example of Kenner's legacy in toy history.
