The Star Wars Luke Skywalker's X-Wing Fighter Red Five Die-Cast Replica Mark Hamill Signature Edition, released by EFX Inc. in 2008, is a studio-scale collectible that faithfully recreates Luke Skywalker's legendary starfighter from A New Hope. Developed from extensive research into Lucasfilm's archival materials, this meticulously crafted replica is constructed from resin, die-cast metal, and injection-molded components, ensuring screen-accurate detailing. Painted in weathered gray with red, yellow, and blue accents, the X-Wing features battle-worn distressing, replicating its iconic appearance during the assault on the Death Star. Measuring 23 inches long, 20 inches wide, and 11.25 inches high, this premium collectible captures every intricate detail, including a detailed and illuminated cockpit interior, electronic engine lighting, and a precisely sculpted Luke Skywalker pilot figure by Gentle Giant. Sitting behind him in the astromech socket is a fully illuminated R2-D2, further enhancing the display's realism.

The machined metal S-foils can be positioned open or closed, allowing for customizable display configurations. However, this particular piece is missing signature nameplate and the power adapter, rendering the electronic functionality untested.
