The Ten Commandments (Paramount, 1956), Group of (5) Prop Tax Receipt Coins and (2) Nefertiti Mini Busts. Vintage group of (5) tax receipt coins crafted from metal and measuring 3" in diameter and (2) Nefertiti mini ceramic busts from DeMille's personal collection and measuring 3" x 7" x 4.5". The sand-colored prop coins were created for the epic blockbuster and feature iconography reminiscent of Egyptian coins from the 13th century. The pair of Nefertiti busts were modeled on the famous relic discovered during an archeological dig in 1912. Worth noting is the fact that the real-life queen of Ramses II (played by Yul Brynner in the film) was named "Nefertari", and that DeMille changed that to "Nefretiri" (played by Anne Baxter) for unknown reasons. Pieces exhibit production wear, paint loss, cracking, and repair work. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
