The Ten Commandments (Paramount, 1956), Douglas Dumbrille "Jannes" Costume Concept Artwork by John Jensen. Vintage character/ costume concept artwork by John Jensen rendered in gouache and graphite on art board measuring 15" x 20". Richly detailed portrait of Jannes (Douglas Dumbrille) beside a fully nude slave girl. Painting features the character name and "#1" at lower left margin, and the artist's signature is at lower right within the painted field. Numerous verso production notes and stamps include sign-off OKs by C.B. DeMille, John Fulton (visual effects), production manager Frank Caffrey and art director Walter Tyler. Red chamois fabric swatch attached to upper left corner. Artwork exhibits production and exhibition wear and handling, including toning, light staining, corner creasing, and mounting tape remnants on verso edges. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
