The Greatest Show on Earth (Paramount, 1952), John Jensen Group of (6) Concept Artworks. Vintage group of (6) concept artworks by John Jensen measuring from 10" x 15" to 16" x 14" including (1) "Emmett Kelly/Buttons in Wheel" dual character concept artworks rendered in gouache, crayon, and charcoal on art board, (1) "Flyers on the Platform" sketch, signed by the artist, rendered in ink and charcoal on glossy sketch paper, (1) "Holly" (Betty Hutton) costume sketch rendered in gouache on art board, (1) "Sebastian" (Cornel Wilde) costume sketch, signed and dated by the artist with DeMille's approval initials, rendered in gouache and graphite on art board, (1) "Elephant Stunt" concept sketch, signed by the artist, rendered in charcoal and graphite on art board, and (1) "Train Wreck" concept sketch rendered in charcoal on art paper fixed to art board. The "Sebastian" and "Elephant Stunt" sketches are showcased in the comprehensive book Cecil B. DeMille: The Art of the Hollywood Epic. Artworks exhibit production wear and exhibition wear including tearing, toning, and vestiges of old adhesive and matting.
