Samson and Delilah (Paramount, 1949), Collection of (128) Roadshow Programs. Vintage collection of (128) roadshow programs measuring 9" x 12" and featuring six interior pages (12 front and back) with production information and dozens of full color and black and white photos. Road show exhibitions were special limited engagements of films before their wider theatrical releases. They were often presented as major events and included longer cuts of films, overtures, intermissions, and unique promotional items. These rare programs were given away at two roadshow bookings in New York City/ Broadway-specific theaters in December 1949. Programs exhibit storage wear, staple rust, minor toning, minor warping, and tearing. The top magazine in the stack contains water damage, staining, and page separation.
