Description

The Story of Dr. Wassell (Paramount, 1944), Leather Bound Presentation Script. Vintage original leather bound presentation script containing 168 pages and measuring 8.75" x 11.25". The gilt decorated tome features the entire completed shooting script for The Story of Dr. Wassell dated May 21, 1943. It highlights pivotal moments from each scene accented with a corresponding 35mm film frame. The script was written by Alan Le May and Charles Bennett and includes the original bookmarked pages and a complete "cast sheet". DeMille had several presentation scripts made after the film was completed for select members of his crew and other studio dignitaries. Exhibits age, page toning, and leather flaking/peeling. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
