Vintage preliminary version of the script for The Crusades with over 200 pages of material including revised pages and detailed notes from Cecil B. DeMille. Fans of the epic film will enjoy this rare look into the director's creative process with key dialogue changes, jettisoned scenes, and additional action emphasizing character and motivation. Though the final draft was credited to three writers, at least six people had a hand in crafting the screenplay - and all under the strict guidance of DeMille. Printed on 8.5" x 14" pages, this is a fascinating record detailing the construction of an epic film. Script exhibits production wear, creasing, tearing, staple rusting, missing staples, and loose pages. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
