Carnosaur (New Horizon Pictures, 1993), Tyrannosaurus Rex Puppet. Original Tyrannosaurus Rex puppet measuring approx. 38" x 14" x 13" with a 34" tail and constructed of a foam rubber body, resin teeth, and museum-grade eyes. Designed by acclaimed special effects artist John Carl Buechler and sculpted by Jeff Farley, this puppet was used for sequences where the production built full-sized Tyrannosaurus could not be used. A 3" hole is visible in the bottom of the puppet's body, likely intended for a puppeteer rod to facilitate off-screen movement and articulation. This Tyrannosaurus miniature plays a significant role as one of the primary antagonistic forces in the action-packed, low-budget film. Exhibits production display age and wear with deterioration and hardening to the foam rubber and separation in the arms, neck, and tail. Special shipping arrangements will apply.
