The Beatles 45 RPM Rare Red Record Box, (Air Flite, US, 1964). When you went over to your friends house to listen to Beatle records this was a best way to carry the vinyl singles. Air Flite made this record box in two sizes - a larger case to hold 12" albums, and a smaller case to hold 7" singles. Both sizes were available in either red or green with a white top. As singles were still favored over albums by 1964 teenagers, more of single cases were produced and consequently survive to this day. Here is the red singles case, measuring approximately 8.5" x 8" x 5", and in overall Very Good condition. There are some scuffs, tears, and stains on the surface but the Beatle images and signatures remain prominent. The case is covered in deep textured paper over sturdy cardboard, The original brass clasp and hinges are in excellent working condition, as is the top handle. The back and the bottom of the case shows water damage. The cardboard is still stable. This example will display well. From the Connie and Dennis Dailey Monumental Beatles Collection.
