"Klingon" Mining Laser Prop from Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country (Paramount, 1991). Original triple-barreled, static laser rifle hand prop. Constructed of cast resin, expertly studio painted and finished in industrial metallic grays, muted silvers and rust maroons with plastic tubing, metal bracket underside barrel cover, black fabric-taped stock, and mixed media embellishments. Studio distressed to appear well worn and weathered. Visible in the scene where " Captain Kirk" (William Shatner) and "Doctor McCoy" (DeForest Kelly) are held captive in the underground Klingon prison. This is one of only a handful of these prop mining lasers made for the film. The rifle measures approx. 28.25" 11" x 3" of steel screw thread protrudes from the butt of the hand grip.
