My Favorite Year (MGM, 1982), Original Final Poster Art by John Alvin. Original full-color acrylic artwork used for the final release 1-sheet poster of the film. In this hand painted and airbrushed painting Alan Swann (Peter O'Toole, nominated for an Oscar for his role) swashbuckles across the scene with a terrified Benjy Stone (Mark-Linn Baker) in tow. The bright, colorful 31" x 48" painting is accomplished in mixed media on board, mounted on ¼" foam core, with a blackout paper cover to protect the surface. Exhibits edge and corner bumping with light soiling and a 2" tear to the blackout paper, not affecting the artwork. The poster image is for reference only and is not included with this lot. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
