Large Scale NASA "Meatball" Sign Removed from Armstrong Flight Research Center Building. Original large scale NASA sign measuring approx. 10' x 14'. This towering relic was installed in 1982 on the exterior of a building that was originally part of the Dryden Research Center at Edwards Air Force Base. The campus on which the building stood was later renamed The Neil A. Armstrong Flight Research Center in 2014. The metal sign bears the iconic "meatball" logo with extended flares and comes in two halves. A sign of this size that was used in an official capacity is a very uncommon piece to come to the market. Sign has light fading, however still presents well. Due to weight and size, special shipping arrangements will apply. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
