Robert Downey Jr. "Tony Stark" Iron Man Mark 42 Stunt Helmet from Iron Man 3 (Marvel, 2013). Original "Mark 42" superhero helmet constructed of cast fiberglass panels expertly assembled and painted in maroon and pewter with open slits for eyes and opaque lenses above. The helmet is constructed in three pieces, with detachable faceplate and rear section that are secured with strong industrial magnets. Foam padding covered in lycra is mounted on rear section for comfort. The paint is lightly studio distressed to appear used and mildly antiqued to enhance some surface detail. This instantly recognizable helmet is a principal component of Tony Stark's high-tech armor and measures 13" x 8.5" x 8". Exhibits a 2" hairline crack from production use. In Very Good condition. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
