James Hampton "Hannibal Dobbs" Cavalry Brass Bugle from F Troop (ABC TV, 1965-1967). James Hampton as "Hannibal Dobbs" brass metal cavalry bugle in the style of those issued after the Civil War and poorly played by actor James Hampton at Fort Courage, from the sitcom F Troop. Accompanied by Mr. Hampton's signed letter of provenance on Warner Bros. letterhead stationery addressed to Helen Rowell stating that he donated the bugle to her for display in the Celebrity Museum. Acquired from the Helen Rowell estate. Also included is a glossy 8" x 10"of Hampton in uniform with bugle pressed to lips, mounted to linen-wrapped foam-core. Fine, with light patina to the bugle.
