Brienne of Tarth (Gwendoline Christie) Signature Armor and Action "Oathkeeper" Longsword from Game of Thrones (HBO® Original 2011-2019, Season 4). Original (10) piece character armor including (1) blue/black fiberglass breastplate with chevron-ridged detail, tassets, and articulated pauldrons attached (with "Brienne, Hero" bias label), (1) pair of matching pauldrons and elbow caps, (1) steel blue jacquard patterned cotton coat with grid chainmail overlay and riveted square leather detail on sleeves and skirt (with "Brienne, Hero" bias labels), (1) pair of brown leather gauntlet gloves, (1) steel blue cotton muslin necktie, (1) petrol blue cotton shirt with standing collar and gathered shoulders, (1) pair of mushroom moleskin trousers with center front lacing, jigger back, and attached stirrups (with "Brienne" bias label), (1) pair of brown leather, knee-high boots with small block heel and side lacing (with "Gwendoline Christie" written in white ink inside both boots), (1) fabric covered scabbard with copper accents measuring 35.5" x 1", and (1) action longsword, "Oathkeeper," with cast poly resin hilt and aluminum blade measuring 41" x 1.5". In Season 4, Episode 4, "Oathkeeper," Brienne of Tarth (Gwendoline Christie) receives this armor and weapon set from Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau). Jaime charges her with fulfilling his promise to Catelyn Stark (Michelle Fairley) to protect her daughters. Costume designer Michele Clapton stated that the armor Jaime gives Brienne was designed "to show how much Jaime valued Brienne" by being both practical and symbolic, reflecting his respect and regard for her. The sword and armor are later featured in Brienne's battle against Sandor "The Hound" Clegane (Rory McCann) as she tries to fulfill her oath and save Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) from her brutal but honorable companion. Gwendoline Christie reflected on this pivotal scene: "The battle with The Hound was one of the most challenging and rewarding sequences. It was physically demanding and emotionally intense, capturing the essence of Brienne's mission." Rory McCann, who portrayed The Hound, praised the choreography and authenticity of the fight scenes: "The fight with Brienne was brutal and raw, a true testament to the characters' strengths and weaknesses."
