Persis Khambatta "Ilia" Test Costume from Star Trek: The Motion Picture (Paramount, 1979). Vintage original collarless tunic constructed of dove gray polyblend fabric, with ¾-bell sleeves, deep v-neck, slits from under arms to hem, integral self-belt, which fastens around the front center waist, and decorative geometric quilting around neck opening and cuffs. Retaining the triangular embroidered patch affixed to left chest (later added to costume after wardrobe test photo). Also retains the internal Paramount bias label handwritten, "Persis." This test costume does not appear in the final cut of the film. Exhibiting minor age and light production use. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions. From the Collection of Greg Jein.
