Not only containing the hit title track that to this day inspires millions with its message of peace and hope, Imagine is also ranked among the greatest albums of all time. It was more produced than his previous effort, John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band, though despite it's sugary sweet sound, Lennon still considered it radically political. That production, aided by Pop mastermind Phil Spector, coupled with Lennon's amazing songwriting prowess, helped propel the album into major commercial success, going double-platinum in the United States, and gold in the UK. This copy, sleekly matted and framed under glass to an overall 19.25" x 33.5", displays the dreamlike album cover above the sleeved record. The record itself is signed "Love, John Lennon" in black felt pen, and includes a whimsical cartoon doodle of his spectacled visage. Obtained by a fan outside the Dakota. It's more than easy to "imagine" this beautiful piece hanging in the home of any Beatles collector! Excellent condition.
