Description

KISS, Bob Seger 1976 Nashville, TN Concert Handbill. A handbill (printed on blue paper) for the Nashville stop on KISS' legendary tour behind their Destroyer LP. Using the picture of the band that adorns the cover of their Alive! live album, this is when KISS became the titans they are still seen as.

With fire-breathing, guitars smashing, smoke, and a drum set rising, this was absolutely KISS at their best. And their fans got the best. Gene, Paul, Ace, and Peter were all at the top of their game, playing material from their first three studio LPs, in addition to the standouts from Destroyer. KISS was no longer this great live act with poor-selling albums. They were now something bigger than a rock band. Hitting up Nashville at the end of July of 1976, they had up-and-comer Bob Seger as the opening act. We sold one of these a year ago for $1,875. Measures 8 1/2" x 10 7/8" and grades to Very Good condition. COA from Heritage Auctions.

More Information: Handbill has a little bit of dirt and grime to its surface, especially on the verso. There is also a very small 1/8" edge tear on the right side about even with the band members' shoes. A little bit of blemishing and surface creasing in the lower right quadrant, to the right of "Bob Seger" and above "Port O'Call," but it's mostly buried in the black.
