Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) Maroon Armored Corset Dress from Game of Thrones (HBO® Original 2011-2019, Season 3). Original (2) piece character ensemble including (1) maroon self-patterned dress with filigree design, funneled neckline, internal stay structure, gold-toned trimmed hip panels, and hook-and-eye closures down the back (with "Cersei" bias label). Also includes (1) external corset constructed with matching fabric and decorative engraved gold-toned panels that peak in the front and back with lace-up closures. The front of the corset features reliefs of 2-swooping birds and a lion's head at the top, representing House Lannister. Worn by Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) in Season 3, Episode 5, "Kissed by Fire," when she expresses her mistrust of House Tyrell to Petyr "Littlefinger" Baelish (Aidan Gillen). Costume designer Michele Clapton explained, "The intricate designs on Cersei's corset were meant to symbolize her fierce loyalty to her house and her need to display power and dominance." Lena Headey noted, "Wearing the corset with the Lannister insignia helped me embody Cersei's regal yet paranoid demeanor during the scene." Showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss added, "The detailed costume designs, like Cersei's corset, play a crucial role in visually representing the character's internal conflicts and alliances." Exhibits production wear.
