Speedway (MGM, 1968), Elvis Presley "Steve Grayson" Racing Jumpsuit. Vintage original racing jumpsuit from Speedway, the 1968 musical-comedy-action film starring Elvis Presley, as worn by the multi-hyphenate performer, consisting of a crème-colored poly-cotton blend jumpsuit with powder blue polyester piping down the arms and legs, with button-closure band collar, 2- slanted chest pockets, Velcro tightening strap across the waist, and embroidered name "Steve" to left breast in blue thread, retaining interior Hinchman Indianapolis maker's label handwritten, "Elvis Presley" in black ink. This crossover musical, comedy, romance, and racing movie starred Elvis Presley as the overly trusting stock-car racer Steve Grayson, and Nancy Sinatra as Susan Jacks, the IRS agent pursuing Grayson's gambling-addicted manager. It was the last in Presley's oeuvre to follow the predictable formula his films had become known for in the prior decade, and was notable as well for being the final acting role for Nancy Sinatra. Lot is accompanied by a COA from the Elvis Presley Museum signed by Jimmy Velvet, along with an album cover of the original soundtrack for the film, which features images of Presley in the jumpsuit. Album sleeve does not include record. Jumpsuit exhibits production wear, handling, and age commensurate with production use including toning to the fabric throughout.
