Hugh O'Brian Custom Nudie's Black and Gold Western Public Appearance Ensemble (1960s-1970s). Vintage original bespoke (4) piece character appearance costume consisting of (1) black wool Western-style jacket with notched lapel, no pockets, elaborately embellished with gold applique and studded with faceted clear crystals, (1) matching pair of pants with bias, piped scalloped pockets and piped unique belt loops, applique and crystals, boot cut legs and stirrups at cuffs, with zipper and button front closure, (1) American Hat Co. custom, size "7-1/5", black beaver cowboy hat with gold buckle hatband, and crystal-studded brim, as well as gold appliqued under brim, gilt stamped in gold, "Hugh O'Brian with compliments Bubba Silver", (1) leather neck tie embellished with gold applique and faceted crystals with hook and eye neck strap, (1) leather and elastic suspenders, and (1) pair of black Cat's Paw brand matching cowboy boots with gold embellishment carrying down from the suit. Jacket and pants retain the internal Nudie's maker's labels. Used by O'Brian for public appearances. In vintage Very Good to Fine condition. From Hugh O'Brian's personal collection.
