John Wayne "General Sherman" Vest from How the West Was Won (MGM, 1962). Vintage original Union Army vest constructed of navy-blue wool with short standing ring collar, 2-hip slash waist pockets, brass military button front closure. The interior of the garment is lined in black cotton. Retaining the internal Western Costume bias label typed "John Wayne" and other production information. Worn by John Wayne as "General William Tecumseh Sherman" in the Academy Award-winning Western epic. Exhibiting production wear, age, and minor handling. In vintage Very Good to Fine condition. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
