Description

Chuck Connors "Lucas McCain" Camel Western Hat and Brown Leather Belt from The Rifleman (ABC TV, 1958-1963). Screen-worn costume element of Chuck Connors and stunt double Fritz Ford from the seminal Western drama The Rifleman. Included is the camel Western wide-brimmed hat by Resistol "STAGECOACH", with Fritz Ford handwritten in the interior, and brown leather belt. Connors met Ford (his real last name was Apking) while filming Tomahawk Trail (UA, 1957), and later requested that Ford be hired as his double on "The Rifleman" leading to a working relationship that lasted over 25 years. Acquired from Mr. Ford's daughter-in-law, Jenny Apking. Very Good, wear to the rim and lining of the hat.
