The Judy Garland Show (CBS, 1963-1964), Judy Garland Performance Dress Worn While Singing "The Man That Got Away" by Edith Head. Vintage original costume sketch accomplished in gouache and ink on 14" x 16.5" artist's paper by legendary costume designer Edith Head. The illustration features a full-length figure of Judy wearing an elegant form-fitting white dress. In Episode 4 of The Judy Garland Show, which aired October 20, 1963, Judy sang the iconic song "The Man That Got Away" from A Star is Born. "Judy Garland / 1962" is written at the top left with Head's signature at the bottom right. Originally designed for Garland for a 1962 personal appearance, the word "personal" was erased from the sketch by Edith when the design was repurposed for Judy's TV show. Judy's performance wearing this outfit can be seen on YouTube by searching "The Man That Got Away Judy Garland Show". Exhibits age and production handling. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
