Golden Globe "Best Supporting Actor" Award Presented to Edmund Gwenn for His Performance in Mr. 880 (TCF, 1950). Vintage original award trophy consisting of cast metal, gold-plated globe, wrapped in a sculptural film strip, set atop a pedestal with the HFPA initials. The gold trophy top is attached to a white marble column with a tiered, footed base and felted bottom. Measuring 8.25" x 3" x 3". The Golden Globe Award is bestowed by members of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association in recognition of excellence in film and television. The engraved brass plaque affixed to the front reads, "To Edmund Gwenn for the Best Performance of 1950 by a Supporting Role, Mr. 880, The Hollywood Foreign Correspondents Association" Exhibiting some age and wear with minor tarnish and pitting to surfaces. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
