Collection of Personal Celebrity Co-Worker Mementos, Many Signed and Inscribed, from Estate of Sound Engineer Lodge Cunningham (Various, 1930s-1950s). Vintage original collection of (30+) ephemeral materials from the career of innovative and legendary film technical wizard and sound engineer Lodge Cunningham, comprised primarily of personal correspondences from notable industry associates, majority mounted on (7) double-sided large-format scrapbook pages. Includes greeting cards, notes, and letters from Katharine Hepburn, Moe Howard, Cary Grant, Al Jolson, Glenn Ford, Gregory Ratoff, Gene Autry, Howard Hawks, Jack Dempsey, Ingrid Bergman, Joe E. Brown, Al Christie, Paul Muni, Charles Coburn, Nina Foch, Howard Hughes and Orson Welles; call sheets and other production documents from Lady From Shanghai; and more. Authentic signatures within correspondences mentioned above include Hepburn, Howard, Grant, Hawks, Bergman, Welles, Muni and Foch. Majority of individual items show general signs of age, handling and archiving, in addition to nearly all being pasted down to the scrapbook pages.
