Description

Hellboy II: The Golden Army (Universal, 2008), Group of (4) Storyboard Artwork Pages from the Last Elemental Battle Sequence with Guillermo del Toro Embellishment. Original set of (4) storyboard artwork pages from Hellboy II: The Golden Army, each measuring 8.25" x 11.75" and featuring three-panel sequences hand-rendered in graphite and ink on photocopied sheets. Attributed to storyboard artists Tracey Wilson and Josh Sheppard, the set includes one panel drawn and revised by director Guillermo del Toro for his reference, sketched directly next to the original for comparison. The pages depict the Last Elemental battle sequence, where Hellboy (Ron Perlman) confronts a towering nature spirit threatening New York City. One standout moment shows Hellboy loading his oversized weapon, "Big Baby," while simultaneously holding an actual baby-capturing del Toro's blend of heroism and absurdity. These storyboards offer remarkable insight into the filmmaking process and reflect del Toro's meticulous, hands-on approach to visual storytelling. Pages exhibit light creasing and edgewear.
