Hellboy (Columbia, 2004), Drew Struzan Original Poster Concept Art. Original concept artwork by acclaimed artist Drew Struzan for Guillermo Del Toro's 2004 superhero film Hellboy. Struzan's initial submission for the film's one sheet poster, this version features Hellboy (Ron Perlman), and the B.P.R.D. team, Abe Sapien (Doug Jones), Liz Sherman (Selma Blair), Trevor Bruttenholm (John Hurt), and John Myers (Rupert Evans) with a cityscape in the background. del Toro commissioned legendary poster artist Drew Struzan to design the original Hellboy poster art, which was later released as a limited edition. Reflecting on the unused designs, del Toro lamented, "I think Drew is a genius. Such a shame the marketing departments have their own ideas." Mixed media on board, measuring 20" x 30", with an illustration size of approximately 14" x 22". Signed and dated at lower left. Clear overlay originally attached with tape at bottom, which still adheres. Exhibits light handling. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions. From the personal collection of Guillermo del Toro.
