Nightmare Warriors Captain Kidd 5½" Figure Series AFA Y-70 EX+ ** POP 1, Highest Grade ** (MTC, 1983). Part of MTC's short-lived Nightmare Warriors line, Captain Kidd blends pirate folklore with horror-tinged fantasy in true early-'80s fashion-complete with spectral saber, undead snarl, and musclebound mold that recalls the era's biggest toy giants. This carded figure arrives sealed in its original bubble and graded AFA Y-70 EX+, with subgrades of C80 B70 F80. Rarely seen in any condition, let alone encapsulated, Nightmare Warriors figures have gained traction among collectors of obscure '80s fantasy toy lines, and Captain Kidd offers a prime specimen from a crew that vanished far too soon.
