Buck Rogers Wilma Pop Pistol XZ-35 with Holster (Daisy, 1934). A pioneering piece from the earliest days of sci-fi toy history, this Buck Rogers lot features the vintage Wilma Pop Pistol XZ-35 with holster, released by Daisy in 1934. As the first-ever licensed toy ray gun, the XZ-35 stands as a landmark in both toy innovation and space-age imagination, with its association to Wilma Deering-one of sci-fi's first heroines-adding an extra layer of historic charm. Crafted from nickel-plated stamped steel and measuring just over 7 inches, this sleek, Art Deco-inspired pistol delivers a classic "pop" sound when the trigger is pulled. The vintage gun shows handling wear, including scratching and scuffing throughout, with slight separation along the top of the body and inner handle. The popping sound feature is no longer functional. Accompanying the pistol is the original holster, which also displays surface wear, scratching, and scuffing consistent with age. Highly coveted by collectors, especially with the holster intact, this set is a rare survivor from the golden era of Buck Rogers and remains a striking emblem of 1930s retro-futurism.
