Description

1985 Topps Garbage Pail Kids - Series 2 - #64a Hot Scott / #64b Luke Warm - Original Trading Card Artwork by John Pound With Topps Vault COA .
Offered here is a rare and iconic piece of original artwork by John Pound, created for Garbage Pail Kids Series 2 and used in the production of stickers #64a "Hot Scott" and #64b "Luke Warm". This unforgettable image features a devilish baby engulfed in flames - a perfect example of Pound's grotesque wit, meticulous detail, and vibrant, cartoonish surrealism.

John Pound is a foundational figure in Garbage Pail Kids history. As one of only two artists to work on the original 1985 Series 1, he played a central role in shaping the visual identity of the brand. His style - a fusion of realism, satire, and exaggerated humor - defined the look of GPK through the 1980s and beyond. Pound's impact also extends to Topps' Wacky Packages, where he contributed significantly during its 1970s and 1980s revival.

This original painting, used directly for card production, is executed in full color and measures approximately 4.5" x 6.5". It is mounted in a custom 10.75" x 12.75" frame, and remains in Excellent condition. A Topps Vault Certificate of Authenticity (COA) is affixed to the back of the frame, confirming its origin from the Topps archives.
