JULIE DAWN COLE "VERUCA SALT'S" ORIGINAL SCREEN-USED "EVERLASTING GOBSTOPPER" FROM WILLY WONKA & THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY JULIE DAWN COLE "VERUCA SALT'S" ORIGINAL SCREEN-USED "EVERLASTING GOBSTOPPER" FROM WILLY WONKA & THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY - (Paramount, 1971) Original Everlasting Gobstopper screen-used by actress Julie Dawn Cole in Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory. One of only two known to exist, many say the Everlasting Gobstopper is the film's main plot element as a test of the kids morality and goodness to see if they would succumb to Slugworth's offer to steal one from Wonka so he could get the secret recipe. And it was the Gobstopper that Charlie handed back to Wonka that eventually won him the "Grand Prize". In the immortal words of Willy Wonka after getting back the Gobstopper, "Charlie, do you know what happened to the boy who suddenly got everything he ever wanted? He lived happily ever after!" Acquired directly from actress Julie Dawn Cole who played the spoiled English girl "Veruca Salt." Comes with a notarized copy of a letter from Ms. Cole stating (in part), "The Everlasting Gobstopper was used in the Inventing Room Scene. Mr. Wonka gives each of the children one Everlasting Gobstopper each. Typically Veruca tries to wangle another one, if only she had succeeded! But at least I was allowed to keep this one."
